How can I make and heat a small Outdoor Greenhouse for starting seeds for under $30?
I live in zone 7 and I am having difficulty starting seeds in my new home, due to inadequate lighting. I found easy and affordable plans to make a 5'x5' portable greenhouse for under $25 made with plastic sheeting and pvc pipe. My question is, how can I make that plan work to start seeds to transplant size, outdoors, where there will be adequate lighting. I need to be able to get it warm, I know, but what will be the cheapest way? I thought of raised beds, with fresh manure-hotbed style, and layering glass or plexiglass over the seeds to create air pockets to trap heat. Any suggestions? I am in zone 7.
