I am trying to grow vegetables in a Plastic Greenhouse but there is mould on the soil?

I started the seeds off on my conservatory windowsill and then repotted them when they had started to grow. I checked on them today and there is mould on the compost in pretty much every pot. What should I do about this? Would the vegetables still be ok to eat? I mean... much worse must go on in compost!
Whether the seeds will be o.k depends on the type of seeds. Most of them will be fine, but some such as certain strains of Tomato are susceptible to molds and mildews. You might want to start a back up planter for Tomato's. If all of them survive, then give some to the neighbors.
At this time of the year when the night time temperatures are above freezing, start your seeds in a pot outside. You won't have a mold problem if they grow outside where the breeze regulates the soil moisture content for you.
I use similar small Green Houses to start my seeds, but I make my own potting soil to avoid the mold problems.
You have moisture and organic material in the same location. It is the perfect environment for spores to start growing. It is also natural. To control the mold, allow ventilation to dry and absorb some of the moisture. If the moisture and organic material are not in the right proportions, mold won't grow.
Mold is one of natures work horses that produce soil by eating the cellulose in plant materials such as leaf and wood. It is necessary in composting to have a healthy mold growth. When you buy commercially produced potting soil, it is not fully composted and is laden with actively growing molds. When you apply moisture, it starts growing again, eating the sticks and leaves in the potting soil.
That is why leaf mold is very good for your garden. It changes the lawn clippings and other organic material in the soil into nitrogen rich compost. Leaf mold is very expensive to purchase when it is available.
The best home made potting soil mix I have found is 2 scoops soil from the garden, 2 scoops peat moss, 1 scoop of sand, 1 scoop of "Sterilized Steer or Chicken Manure". It must be sterilized or you will get weed seeds in it and they will germinate. For plants that require very good drainage, such as peppers, add an extra scoop of sand.
